Managing site template with Bitbucket

Hello all,

I would like to use Bitbucket for version control but couldn't figure out a proper workflow.

I'm developing websites and have a site template with basic structure and core functionality. Every time I start a new project I copy the template and build the site upon it. Once in a while core functionality is extended and I would like to replicate it back to the template, and then to be available in other projects as usually there are several in the pipeline.

Is it possible in Bitbucket to set up a repository as a clone of another repository and replicate back only selected changes?
