MariaDB instead MySQL to Tests in Pipelines

I've been reading about using MySQL for pipeline testing (test-with-databases-in-bitbucket-pipelines ) but I need to test my MariaDB application because there are some types of fields. With MySQL result in some compatibility errors ... Does anyone have a success story when using MariaDB in pipelines?

Yes, it should be possible to  run Mariadb just like MySQL. It has different configuration environment variables though. Check the image documentation for details on how to setup - https://hub.docker.com/_/mariadb
