Greetings,

Receiving next message while trying authorize mirror:

Failed to install mirror usorgibisbx from /rest/mirroring/latest/upstreamServers/042c971d-4efa-36b8-b724-21a6372fbef1/addon/descriptor (Reason 'Host name may not be null')

How it can be fixed?

Hi Artem,

This error "Host name may not be null" indicates there is an issue with the mirror's BaseURL. Please check for any foreign characters or issues with the URL. This value cannot be changed after the mirror was started, so you will need to delete the mirror and build it again.

To confirm this, you can use the endpoints below on the upstream to determine what the mirror's base URL is reporting to the upstream.

  • GET {{UpstreamBaseURL}}/rest/mirroring/1.0/requests
  • (For details) GET {{UpstreamBaseURL}}/rest/mirroring/1.0/requests/{{mirroringRequestId}}

Thanks,
Edward
