Public Key not working

So I have generated a id_rsa key on my VPS server. I then copied the content from the id_rsa.pub from the server, and pasted the SSH key onto my account. However, whenever I try to do "git pull", it always asks for my password. Is there a way to get around this? What am I doing wrong here?

Yes. It does pull if I enter the right password.
