BItbucket cloud and Azure Security Groups

Grant Baxter February 25, 2022

We are currently migrating to the cloud from the server for Bitbucket, I noticed with Atlassian access you can set up security groups linked to Active Drectory\Azure. However, I see no way of adding an existing group in Bitbucket Cloud? It also seems the cloud version is completely different to managing?

Any help would be appreciated.

@Grant Baxter

Welcome to the community 🙂

With Atlassian access, you can only configure SSO, that being said it doesn't matter of you have user directly or from a group.

The user when tries to login with the account you are managing (with verified domain account) will get the SSO login page and that's all

For groups, you need manage them in Bitbucket itself for access and permissions for workspace and that cannot be managed via Azure AD

Please refer the document, if you have seen it from documentation page

Let me know if you have any queries

Thanks,

Pramodh

Seems a bit backwards and annoying but ok, is there any way to just add people to a bitbucket group without sending an invite?

Migration was successful, but the security group users are in doesn't exist in BitBucket so really it didn't work.
