Bitbucket Ports: 7990, 7992 and 7993

Hello,

I am installing Bitbucket Server on a self-hosted Win2016 SE Server and connecting it to an Oracle 12.1c database sitting on a Linux Red Hat Server that is behind a firewall.  The setup instructions state that ports 7990, 7992 and 7993 must be open.

Are these (3) ports listening through the firewall for data from the database?  Or, do they need to be accessible for other Atlassian's apps to access?

Thank you,

MK

Hi @Matthew,

Bitbucket uses ports 7992 and 7993 to communicate with Elastic Search. They shouldn't be reachable from outside the firewall.

Yes, 7990 should be open if you plan to access the application externally.
