The new UI with Bitbucket Server that came with an upgrade to 5.10 was not welcome and caused many negative feedback from our users. Some are so unhappy with the change that they demand we switch back to the Bitbucket Server 5.9.1 release that we used before the switch.
The main point of critique is the wasted space that came with the sleek font and abnormaly sized icons. Some of the icon choices are also not very straightforward and seem to fit the space reserved, e.g. the Pull Request "Approve", "Needs work" actions. Other not so important details like profile pictures are now twice as big as important details like the check or X for a successful or failed build.
Is there going to be or is there already a way to revert back to old UI like in JIRA?
(In Jira Server it seems to be possible to get the old UI back through a profile setting)
Hi Michael! Going back to the old UI won't be possible. However, you can share your feedback or make a suggestion to our devs and design team via our Portal.
The change was announced in Community by one of our Bitbucket designers, you can find it at COMING SOON Updated look and feel for Bitbucket Server. You can also send him a comment if you'd like :)
Lastly, you can also have a look at this other ticket were some users were asking for the new UI to be implemented in Bitbucket Server.
Hope that helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Ana
Thank you Ana - we also saw the announcement about the new UI before we ugraded. It was actually our first product with the new Atlassian branding.
Thank your for the links - I will try and also give feedback when I get something more constructive other than it looks bad or what I already wrote.

Thanks Michael, please do. Indeed if you just say you don't like the new UI there's not much we can do about it, but if you're a bit more specific and say what exactly you don't like or, even better, how would you like it to be or how could we improve it, that would really help our team understand what our users want. And that's what we all want after all :)
Thanks again for your support!
Have a nice day,
Ana
