Bitbucket cloud - remove PR approvals when source branch is modified except for merge commits

We have the feature to remove PR approvals when a new commit gets pushed to the branch, but approvals are still removed when you do a merge commit, even if the diff is exactly the same as before. Is there a way to remove approvals only if the diff changes?

Hello @Josh,

Unfortunately no, at the moment any update of the source PR branch will reset approvals when the mentioned feature is enabled.

The use case you describe makes sense though, do you mind filing a feature request to our issue tracker? This way you'll get notified when we make any relevant changes.
