Hi
We just installed a local BitBucket server but I can't find the "username aliases" on Repository settings (this setting is very convenient on bitbucket.org)
Do anyone here knows how to configure a BitBucket server so that username aliases mapping is possible
//Erik
Hi Erik,
Bitbucket Server does not have the same "Username aliases" feature that Bitbucket Cloud does at the moment. There is an open feature request at BSERV-4603 Committer alias management where we're tracking this, but it's not something that's currently on our roadmap.
Bitbucket Server does support Git's .mapmap which allows you to map multiple commit authors to one. You can read more about this at https://git-scm.com/docs/git-shortlog#_mapping_authors
Thanks.
.mailmap worked like a charm !!! :-)
We had almost 20 years of old cvs managed code which we just converted to git. Mapping those unix style ids makes it much easier to see in Bitbucket Server.
Thanks for quick support

And yet the cloud UI implies you can do it ... "Unmapped user
