I'm trying to update my account email and I'm getting "Enter a valid email address", even though this is a totally valid email.
Looking at the HTTP response, I see "change-email.form.new.email.error.restricted.domain". How can my custom domain be restricted?
Hi @ecdeveloper and welcome to the community!
Does this issue occur with the Atlassian account that you used to log in to community to make this post?
If so, I can see in our system that this is not a managed account. We'll need to know the email address you're trying to change to for further investigation; please do not post this here though, as this is a public forum.
You can create a ticket via this link:
In the question How can we help you? select Your account; in the question Choose a topic select Update account details. The ticket will be visible only to you and Atlassian staff, so you can share the email address you want to change to, the error you get and the HTTP response.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Thank you. I followed your instructions and it's also asking me to provide the related URL, SEN, EN or invoice number. What do I put there?

Hi @ecdeveloper
That should satisfy the form’s requirements. Let me know if anything’s still unclear!

Hi @ecdeveloper,
You can enter bitbucket.org/workspace-id, where workspace-id replace with the ID of one of your Bitbucket workspaces. You can find that in your browser's address bar when viewing one of your repos. E.g. If the repo's URL looks like this: https://bitbucket.org/some-workspace/some-repo/src/main/, then some-workspace is the workspace ID.
Alternatively, you can leave this field empty and select the link Need more help? below this field, you will then see another field with the title Tell us what you would like to change where you can enter info about the issue.
Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi @ecdeveloper
That error usually means your email domain is restricted because your Atlassian account is managed by an organization (like a company or school).
Here’s how to fix it:
To check if your account is managed, go to that same link — if you see a message saying it’s managed, you’ll need admin help. If not, you should be able to change it yourself.
Hope that helps!
