Apparently I have a "managed" account. I need to change my account email but it says "Contact your administrator to change your email address."
Who is my administrator? How do I find this out? I have a ".edu" email address, but my university does not know anything about this.

I suggest contacting your university IT team, as they likely know who the org admin is who can help change your email address.

Thanks for the response. My goal is to change my previous institutional email address to a new email address associated with a different institution.
I have contacted my previous institution's IT support, and they say they can not assist since the email I would like to change it to is with a different organization.
I need help from Atlassian to update my email to a new email with a different institution. Is this something that can be done? Otherwise, what is my best course of action? I do not want to lose my existing account.

Unfortunately, I can't assist you with this request, as you are transferring your account email to a different organization. You should consider migrating your repository to a new account instead of continuing to use this one. You can easily do this by following our guide on transferring repositories.
Essentially, create a new Bitbucket account and transfer your repository to the new one.
