I'm reading the documentation for bitbucket cloud, and I'm a little confused about the documentation regarding disk space limits. My company is currently running Bitbucket Server, and considering migration to Bitbucket Cloud. We have 2400 repositories in Bitbucket Server using 44G of space. Is any of this covered by the basic $5/user/month Cloud pricing?
The pricing document (https://bitbucket.org/product/pricing) indicates that storage cost is $10/month per 100G. This would lead me to believe that our cost would be $10/month, but the document also states that this charge is for Git LFS. As far as I know, none of our repositories use LFS. Would we be effected by this charge?
Hi Michael! With Bitbucket Cloud you can have unlimited repositories with 2GB limit on each one. Keep in mind that by default each user can only create 300 repositories (initially) within an account, but should you require more you can contact us and we'll enable the unlimited repository feature for you. We implemented this repository limit on all accounts to avoid spamming robots.
If you have less than 5 users, then you can use a Free account to store your repos. If you have more than 5 users, then you'll need a Standard account that starts at $10/month, and then adds $2/month for every additional user.
The storage space you mentioned is referring to LFS storage (Large File System). The Free account includes 1GB of storage, while the Standard account includes 5GB. In both cases, you can purchase additional LFS storage at $10/month for 100GB. For more info you can read Bitbucket pricing.

Hi Ana,
I don't know if it's ok to ask here but my question is really similar to this one so here it goes.
I have a free account as I'm just one user. My repositories are usually large and I want to expand the 2GB limit on one of them. Is purchasing additional storage just available for LFS?
I guess I should be using LFS anyway as I manage large files, but just to be sure, what would I need to do to have a repository of more than 2GB of storage?
Update to Standard user and start using the 5GB of LFS included.
Purchase the LFS storage at $10/month for 100GB. (This would fit me better as I'm just one user)
Thanks!

Hi Ivy! If you're managing large files then you'd be better by enabling LFS. Your Free account includes 1GB/mo already, if you need more you can purchase it at $10/month for 100GB. You can read more at Bitbucket pricing.
Hope that helps!
Ana

Hi @Ana Retamal ,
We have a Standard pricing plan with 5GB file storage.
But in the post above you mention that LFS file storage is per month.
Can you clarify what is meant with 5GB/mo LFS?
Is this the max upload per month? Or the total available size?
I'm a bit confused about the "per month" ;-)
Thanks,
Gert

Hi @Gert Stalpaertthanks for your message!
That was a mistake on my side, storage is not per month. You will have 5GB of storage as far as you are on the Standard plan. You can also see this at Bitbucket pricing.
I will now edit my original response to make it clear to all the other users, thanks for pointing that out!
Have a good day,
Ana
