How to share private repo with other users?

Hi, I have a private repo currently with 2 contributors.

 

I am trying to add one more person, but it displays a warning to upgrade my plan in order to get more users. I am on Free plan.

 

My repo has only 2, and seems like  Free plan should allow for 5 people. 

 

Why am I getting this warning and how to solve this??

I had a number of repos, each one having different set of users that added up to 5. Took time to find out since been focussing on only a few of them.

Reducing members from other repos didn't work for me, I only have myself and one other person. (I'm glad that worked for Cem above but FWIW my understanding is that you get 5 users per private repo?)

I still get a false link that looks like the invite worked but there's no email sent, none when I click resend, and no invite found on the recipients' side's spam folders, either.
