I would like to submit a patch for this:
https://bitbucket.org/bitbucketpipelines/runners-autoscaler/
There appears to be an (obvious) bug in the cleaner where it tries to clean up everything in the workspace rather than just the runners it is actually responsible for.
I can't even attach the patch to this.... but more than happy to provide it.
Hi Rich and welcome to the community!
Forks are allowed for the runners autoscaler repo, so you can create a fork, make changes in your fork, and then create a pull request from the fork to the autoscaler repo.
If you open the Source page of the autoscaler repo, look for the three dots option next to the Clone option, near the top right corner. If you select the three dots, you will see the option Fork this repository.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Thank you @Theodora Boudale . I have never used Bitbucket outside of private company repositories. Didn't realise it was that simple. I will give this a go and accept the answer if I am successful.
Many thanks

@Rich Lees I don't the process there, but to me sending a pull request with the fix sounds the most intuitive approach.
It is very visible for the project owner and assuming you write a good summary of your changes to the PR description it is a "self-containing unit".
