Is there a user environment variable I can use in pipelines

I'm currently integrating bitbucket pipelines for deployments in our repository. For deployments we use external services to send push messages. These push messages contain user data like the current user name executing the deployment. I can't find any environment variable exporting these to be used in bitbucket pipelines.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi @Jelle van Oosterbosch,

We currently don't have an environment variable for the user who triggered the deployment. However, you can raise a feature request on our public issue tracker if it is something that you'd like to see in Bitbucket.

It looks like there's already an open feature request on our issue tracker. I encourage to vote for and watch that issue if it is something that you're interested in seeing. We'll provide updates on our progress via the issue.
