Pull Requests - Reviewer groups

Hello!

Are there any plans to make the feature "Reviewer groups for pull requests" available in the Bitbucket cloud?
As currently it is only available for "Data center and server".

Hi Simon,

While reviewer groups are not available just yet - there is a feature request for that: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-10833

If you want to use reviewer groups now please check out Workzone for Bitbucket Cloud - we are providing this app to solve exactly this problem (and more..)

Simply configure existing groups as reviewers for PR branches, files and directories and even enforce an approval quota on each group. If the group quota is not reached, the PR can't be merged!

Hi Ulrich,

The issue that you reference is titled "Ability to add a group as a reviewer on a PR" but it was settled with the comment "We are happy to announce that code owners functionality has been added in Bitbucket Cloud".

That is not the Reviewer Groups feature.  That is the Code Owners feature.

Are there any plans to make the feature "Reviewer groups for pull requests" available in the Bitbucket cloud?

Hi @Aurora Tiffany-Davis , you are absolutely correct. Code Owners for Bitbucket server and cloud provide one way to add members of groups to pull request via a file-based .codeowners configuration file.

Bitbucket server/DC has another way of configuring reviewer groups via a repo configuration UI, but that's not available in BB Cloud.

Bitbucket cloud however does not provide a UI based reviewer groups feature. Hence the reference to  Workzone for Bitbucket Cloud which allows you to define reviewer groups and approval quota per branch and file/path through the UI without a configuration file in the repository.
