Repository appears empty after pushing code

I created a new Git repository in Bitbucket (server version) and pushed up some commits, and everything pushed up successfully.  However, when I go to the repository page in the UI, it says it's an empty repository.  I know that the code pushed because I'm able to clone the repository to a different location using the URL listed on the repository page.  

Why is the repository still showing as empty?  

If it matters, I created a new git repository locally using "git init" and then I used "git remote add origin <url>" to connect to the empty repository in Bitbucket and then I pushed up the changes.

We are on Bitbucket Server 5.9.

There is currently an open bug for this issue, this is something that shouldn't happen and is a known bug.

Hi @Jon Kruger,

I see that the workarounds suggested in the bug report did not help addressing the issue, can you confirm if the pushed content is locally available after cloning the repository?

 

Are there any errors in the logs (in the workstation performing the Git operation sor on the server) when the source code is being pushed or when the repository page is being accessed?

 

What is the operating system running Bitbucket Server and the filesystem type?

I don't have access to the server itself.  I know it's running Bitbucket 5.9.  I don't get any errors on my side when I push.  I'll check with the server admins.
