I accidentally started to commit some large files before updating the gitignore. After cancelling this commit, sorting out the files, updating the git ignore, and pushing a commit that should not have meaningfully changed the repo size, my repository still ballooned up beyond the size limit.
I would like to request garbage collection for this repository so that the total size returns to the actual amount. Currently pushing is disabled because of the incorrect size.
Welcome to the community.
I went ahead and ran Git GC against your repository and it is now down to 3 GB.
You should be able to push to now.
Regards,
Mark C
Thank you very much Mark, everything is working as expected now.
