Run garbage collection on my repos

Like lots of us right now, I'm cleaning my repos because of the future new repo size limit.

I ran some git filter-branch on them to remove big files and directories.

I'm on the free plan, could you please run a garbage collection for me please?

Welcome to the community!

I've checked your workspace and ran garbage collection on the repositories over 1 GB, and the repository size has reduced. Can you check the remote repository size and compare it to your local repository size? 

You can check the local size by running the following command on the local repository:

git count-objects -vH

The "size-pack" will show the local repository size.

Before proceeding with the next push to the remote repository, please ensure that you and all repository collaborators make a fresh clone of the remote repository to avoid reintroducing old/cleaned-up history and potentially inflating the repository size again.

Thanks for your help.

The issue is resolved for one of the two repo.

But on the other one, there was still an unwanted branch. I removed it from the remote, made a new clone, used 

git count-objects -vH

And now it is ok. 

Could you please run another gc on this repo please?

No problem! I've run GC on the repository that remained over 1 GB and it the size has reduced to 46.5 MB after you removed an unnecessary branch.
