Why sometimes instead of /teamurl I get /{weird-id/etc ? when browsing repository settings or creating a new repo within a team

Example

https://bitbucket.org/account/user/%7B432cb5a2-fcf1fb61e1a04f%7D/groups/administrators/

Hi, welcome to the Community!

That is the workspace ID and it depends on how your team name was formatted. If you don't like it, it can be changed. To do so, log in to your Bitbucket Cloud account, navigate to the team which workspace you'd like to change, and visit the Settings page, you can edit it there.

Hope that helps you. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Ana

Hi @cybernet2u ,

apologies for the confusion. That is your Team account identifier.  All URLs related to your personal or team account's, like account Settings, snippets and so on will show the account UUID in the URL instead of the username,  this change is implemented for account privacy reasons.  You cannot change the URL back to the UserName.

Only the URLs related to the repository, will show your workspaceID/repo_slug  in the URL.

Please let us know if you need help with anything else.

Yana
