using ssh in Windows 10 cmd prompt; is it possible? why no instructions for that combo?

polycopter July 5, 2018

It seems there's a step missing in the instructions for adding an ssh key when using Windows command prompt, and not using SourceTree.

at this url: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/set-up-an-ssh-key-728138079.html#SetupanSSHkey-ssh1

step 2, the instructions for using ssh-agent don't work in the Win10 command prompt

HI @polycopter

Welcome to the community!

Let me ask you, without using git are you going to commit/push/pull your data to bitbucket cloud?

If No, then using git CMD or git Bash you can generate the SSH key and add over to Bitbucket cloud profile.

I intend to use git for this particular repo, and I got the ssh-agent to work (so push doesn't ask for passphrase) in git-bash, but I am just wondering: if it doesn't work (i.e., ssh-agent) in the windows command prompt, maybe that should be noted in the documentation?
