One of my repositories shows a size of 253.3 MB. I discovered that the issue was due to the history stored in the .git folder. I successfully removed the unnecessary data to reduce the size.

After that, I cloned the repository, and its size was reduced to around 20 MB. However, Bitbucket still shows the size as 253.3 MB.

Hi @tszkinleung and welcome to the community!

I can't see a repo with that exact size at the moment, among the repos your account has access to. I can see one repo that its size is close to 253.3 MB (whose name starts with 'ma').

I ran a git gc on this repo and its size has been reduced. Could you please confirm if this is the repo in question and if you can see the reduced size on your end?

Kind regards,
Theodora
