Reusing a repo name after deleting it

Dan Eylon June 24, 2025

Hi. I have created a repo in a new workspace, then had to delete it due to an error. I then wanted to recreate a repo by the same name, but I cannot do it - the repo is marked as existing, although it does not appear in my workspace anymore. Can you please help with releasing this repo name so that I can reuse it? Thanks.

Hi @Dan Eylon

Did you mean to say workspace by any chance? I've taken a look and can see that your workspace is in the process of deletion - if you've created a new workspace and wish to re-use the workspaceID, I can change the old workspaceID for you so that it's free for usage :)

Cheers!

Thank you for responding, Ben!

Because I couldn't reuse the repo, I tried deleting the entire workspace and creating another one with a similar but different name. I could then create the repo without issues, it just took a relatively long time, probably due to a temporary slow service issue. My issue is now resolved. Thanks again.
