Hi, I currently cannot access bitbucket. It keeps on saying my connection isn't private. I tried connecting to different ISPs but I still encounter the said issue.
This is the message it throws - net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
The error message you're seeing - net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID typically means there's an issue with the SSL certificate of the website, often when the domain name in the certificate doesn't match the URL you're trying to access.
Here are a few things you can try:
1. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart the browser.
2. Ensure your system date and time are accurate, as incorrect settings can trigger SSL errors.
3. Try accessing Bitbucket using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, or Edge).
4. Check for any antivirus or firewall software that may be interfering with SSL traffic - temporarily disable it and try again.
5. If you're using a VPN or proxy, try disabling it or trusting the proxy server certificate in the browser.
Let me know if the above options helped you
Thanks,
Pramodh
Hi @Pramodh M
I tried using those methods, and it's still throwing the same error.
However, when I tried using a different ISP. I can successfully access the bitbucket now.
It seems that some ISP in my region is blocking the connection to bitbucket.
Anyway, thank you for your help!
