Why I can't transfer my repository ownership/workspace

I have followed the documentation to transfer a private repo from one bitbucket user to another but although the "Repository transfer in progress" is displayed I never received any email and i can't find anywhere to accept the transfer.
Should I wait for more than a day for the email to be sent? Or could something else be at fault?

When you are attempting to transfer a private repo from one user to another:

- Has the person you have transferred this repo to checked their email account? Usually when you are transferring a repo, it is the transferee that receives the email. Make sure they have checked their trash or junk folders in their email client of choice.
