bitbucket "check out your branch" page question

hi guys

please have a look at Bitbucket.png

The branch GAP-793 is a branch created from the branch "master". Then when I go to branches / and select this branch, I land to this page (where you can check out the branch).

Why do we see "develop" in the red rectangle area ? What's the use of "change destination" ? I don't really understand this feature.

Can you help me clarify this please ?
