[pipelines] Why do the pipeline run times not add up?

Deleted user April 6, 2018

Please see the screen shot below. I noticed that we are getting billed 59s but I can not account for about 10 seconds, roughly 20% of the bill. Take the step show below, I can count 27s being generous for those commands that run less that 1s.

Hi Wilhelm,

There are different phases that contribute to the total duration. In the UI, you may notice the status change to these: Pulling images, Cloning repository, Downloading caches / artifacts, In progress, Uploading caches / artifacts, Parsing test results and Saving logs.

The total duration is calculated when we first start pulling images and when the pipeline is marked as complete with a successful / failed / error status. The durations of each command in the logs are only a subset of this.

Hope this helps!

Hi, thank you that does help though still does not address my concern where the bill has roughly 20% of time that is not reported on. Can you not add the additional time in the report to be more transparent on what you billing us?
