Hi, Is there a way to protect source code in bitbucket with a password so that only particular setup of people who knows the password can only access. pls let me know whether it is possible.
You can make the repository private - only the people with read access will be able to see that private repositories even exist.
Does that mean that we can't safe guard the code with a password and we can use private option? Private option can be provided at each user level and we can even allow them to edit the code? pls clarify.
And also, only admin of bitbuket can given provide private option? what if , if the admin removes repository wherein he had given private option? pls clarify

Hi Attili! When you make a repo private, you're not specifically protecting it with a password, but you're preventing everyone from seeing it or accessing it. You'll need to manually invite users to this repo if you want them to see it, and they'll need to have a Bitbucket account (which are protected by passwords) to be able to access this repo.
For more info you can read Make a repo private or public.
Hope this clarifies your question!
Best regards,
Ana
