readonly workspace - I'd expected to be able to delete through the web UI

tbee June 18, 2025

My workspace has been put into readonly mode, because of one sizable repo made it cross the treshhold. I understand why git access would be made readonly, but I had not expected the web UI to also be blocked. I would like to delete that one sizable repo to enable write on the others. Is there any way to do that?

Hi @tbee

Welcome to the community.

AFAIK, you should be able to delete repositories in your workspace, although, you won't be able to push changes.

Could you confirm if you can click the "Delete repository" in your repository settings?

You can do that by following the steps below:

Yes, that works! Apparently the manual I found on the internet where to find the delete was incorrect (it had it in the side menu, not a dropdown).

If not, I'll simply move all the other repos over to github of course.
