Readme public

tiagoscenario February 12, 2019

Hi folks!

It would be nice for the company projects if we can setup only readme file as public... is it possible? I've browsed some questions around the internet but didn't find it.

Do you have some advice for covering this??

Hi Tiago,

I'm afraid that's not possible. The Readme is part of the repo and it will go under the same privacy you give to your repo; if your repo is private, the Readme will be private.

Alternatively, what comes to my mind is to set a separate repo as public, where you only host Readme files for the projects you're working on, while you keep the code in a private repository.

If you'd like it to be different, you can submit your feature request through our portal.

Hope that helps!

Hi Ana, tks for your reply.

I see your point, but having another repo just to host the Readme doesn't Sound good for us. But no problem, it's not a big issue

Tks again!

Hi Tiago, I know the idea I proposed was not the best, but it was the only thing that came to mind with our current setup :)

If you have any other questions, let us know!

have a good day,

Ana
