Bitbucket documentation says:
When you create a repository, Bitbucket checks to see if the repository's owner has any groups with an access level of read, write, or admin. If the team or individual account does, Bitbucket adds those groups to the new repository with the default permission. If a group has no access, that group does not appear on the User and group access page. However, you can add that group with an appropriate access yourself.
My users are requesting: When a new repo is created in Bitbucket (and being added to the IT-ESS project) a default group is being automatically added to the "User and group access" for that new repo and it should not be. The default group being added is "IT-ess-edge-readwrite". Please remove this default setting. The default group that should be assigned to a new ESS repo is "IT-ess-readonly" (and it should be configured as read-only by default).
Is this possible?
Hi Glenn,
We can not make changes to the accounts, only the admin/s of the account can do that.
If the group is being added by default, it's because something on the permissions that were set up for that group is telling it that it should be added. The admin of the account will need to edit the permissions of that group so it doesn't get added by default. The instructions are also listed in the article you linked.
Let us know if something about the instructions is not clear so we can continue helping you. If there's anything else you need, we'll be happy to assist.
Best regards,
Ana
Ana, Thanks for the response. Our email filter program stopped me being notified of your response. We get alerted the next day.

I am the overall admin for our Atlassian products (since April) now with no transition time or training. I looked at all the settings and probably missed it. Where do I change the permissions for the group? Thanks
Glenn

Is setting default Repository access to None what needs to be changed?
