Repository size not decreasing

renatojen October 8, 2025

Recently i tried to push to my repository and it didn't go through because apparently it surpassed the 1GB limit. I did the recommended and rewinded to undo the last commits (that should bring the size down again), but apparently the size remained the same. I think the garbage collector didn't run after that.

Hey @renatojen

Welcome to the community!

I have triggered GC on the affected repository, and its size has been reduced to 1 GB, which is still quite large. You might want to revert it further to bring the repository size below the 1 GB limit.

Let me know if you need another GC after you finish your change.

Syahrul

I reverted a few more commits. Can you please run another GC?

Renato

Hey @renatojen

This is done. Looks like the repo size is now below the 1 GB limit.

Hi @Syahrul ,
I cleaned up the repo a little more and was able to push the commit, but the repo size didn't seem to reduce. Can you run another GC?

Regards,
Renato
