Hi Atlassian team,
I’ve rewritten my Git history and reduced its size. But when pushing to remote, it reports a much larger size. Could you run garbage collection and recalculate the repo size on your end?
This is for the repository [REDACTED].
Thanks very much!
After running cleanup operations, the size is expected to remain the same until a server-side GC is executed. This happens automatically once a certain garbage threshold is met or can be triggered manually by a support technician.
I've just executed a gc and it has reduced the size down from 496MB to 7MB.
Please note that this is a public forum, so I've redacted your workspaceID/repo slug - we are able to see this information so it is not necessary to share this publicly.
Cheers!
