SVN to GIT

We are trying to move an on-premise SVN repo to an on-premise GIT report (Bitbucket).

Atlassian have instructions: https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/migrating-prepare

We are using a Debian 11 server to do the work, however we do not know what version of Java to use.

If anyone knows the correct version of Java that would be much appreciated.

System requirements for Bitbucket are here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/supported-platforms-776640981.html

In general, you should be good with either Java 8 or Java 11.
