Hi Fatma,

Based on the error you posted here, SourceTree is attempting to make an API call to Bitbucket Cloud and the response from our API is Unauthorized.

There are no details, though, as to what exactly the user is doing, what options or menus they are selecting in SourceTree, and what steps they follow until they see this error. It would be useful to have that info and also know if they are using SourceTree for Windows or for Mac.

A common reason for authentication errors is that users enter their account's credentials for Basic authentication over HTTPS. An account's credentials can be used only for logging in to the website from browser. If the user is not asked to log in to their Atlassian account, but they are trying to add their Bitbucket account with Basic authentication in SourceTree instead, they need to use:

• Their Bitbucket username, which can be found here https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/ after they log in to Bitbucket Cloud from browser
• An app password for their account that has at least Account - Read permissions. Additional permissions may be required, such as Repositories - Read and - Write, in order to be able to clone, pull or push to Bitbucket repos.
