Too many emails from bitbucket

I have a user asking me about the amount of email notifications he is getting from bitbucket. 

"If a commit goes to master and causes a conflict with my pull request, I get an email for that plus any subsequent commits until I fix the conflict."

After looking around and doing some research I was unable to find anything to help him beyond setting up a filter in gmail. He also said that there was no setting in his notification settings on this. 

How can I disable these notifications?

Hi Alex,

By default, email notifications are batched. However:

• You can change your personal account settings (on the Notification settings tab) so that you get notifications immediately.
