Urgent Request to Delete Workspace with Repository

Hi Atlassian Support Team,

I need an urgent assistance with deleting a Bitbucket workspace with a repository and its associated account. I no longer have access to the account or the email address linked to it.

Could you please remove the workspace and its repository and account linked to it: [REDACTED]

Hi @Olga 

In accordance with our security/data protection policies concerning user-generated content, we are not able to delete workspaces where we can't verify that you are the rightful owner of the content.

You'll need to regain access to that email account and raise a separate community post making this request by logging in using that email account.

Hi @Ben

Thank you for your response. The account used to create that workspace no longer exists, as it was most likely tied to the company I left five years ago. The company has asked me to delete the workspace and its repository because it references their name and may contain some data. Could you please remove it as soon as possible, as I’ve been instructed to do so urgently? The workspace is under my name.

Hi @Olga 

As this is a managed account, we have no authority to perform any operations against it without the express consent of either the account owner (verified by email address) or an organisational admin.

The organisational admin for that domain can simply de-activate the Atlassian account tied to that user, which will remove any access to its content:

Alternatively, the org admin will need to open a support ticket using their paid workspaceID and request the data deletion accordingly - we strongly suggest support ticket as this is a public forum and it would not be appropriate to discuss sensitive information such as account details in this forum:
