I was exploring the options in atlassian bitbucket(cloud) for migrating github to bitbucket with the PR's, issues e.t.c like a mirror copy, i couldnt find much, can you please suggest me a way on how can i achieve the same.
Hi, @bidarianil! Welcome to the community!
We do have an "Import Repository" feature to import repositories from Github. You can take a look at this documentation to check the steps: Import a repository from GitHub or GitLab
However, it's not possible to import pull requests or any other metadata. The reason for this is that the metadata is not compatible between Github and Bitbucket Cloud, so it would require a direct conversion to allow this to be migrated as well. PRs or issues aren't Git data, so they can't be easily converted like commits, they depend on the implementation of each service you are trying to import from. The same applies if you were migrating from Bitbucket into Github, PRs and issues would not be migrated.
We have the following open feature requests to implement this ability moving forward as you can see here:
I've linked this question to the feature requests. Please consider adding yourself as a watcher, this way you get updated as we make progress with this. If you are not familiar with our Feature Request Policy, you can read more about it here.
Please, feel free to share any additional questions or concerns regarding this subject.
Kind regards,
Caroline
