Workspace now too big and read-only. Unsure what plan I need to be on.

I have been on the free tier for probably 10 years, and over that time have accumulated some sizable repos, mainly because of versioning binaries like swfs, videos and installer exes. According to my workspace settings, 20.47gb of workspace storage is now being used - see image attached. OK, not ideal, but it was allowed at the time.

Now the bait and switch storage rules have changed, my workspace has become read-only and I need to gain write access once again.

The pricing information is as clear as mud. So what do I need to pay for to gain write access? 

Note that although I have "20.47gb of workspace storage being used", I have "0mb of file storage used". I presume the latter is LFS? 

I only have 3 users on my account. I have no need for build minutes. Can I pay for more storage, yet keep the free tier? I don't have large files specifically stored in LFS - so would this work for me?

I'd quite like to keep using BitBucket, but these new rules and the pricing structure information are not making it easy for me.

You are correct that file storage in this instance refers to LFS storage. Free plans have a total of 1GB of LFS file storage available, and if this is exceeded, you can pay an extra $10/month for 100GB of LFS file storage whilst still remaining on the Free plan. Unfortunately, there is no option to pay for extra workspace storage while keeping the Free tier - but you can move those large files to LFS storage instead and keep the Free tier as mentioned above:

Alternatively, you can sign up for a Standard plan which is $16.50 per month (based on a minimum of 5 users), which entitles you to receive direct support from our support team, as well as any paid features highlighted below:

Regardless of which option you choose, you will need to temporarily upgrade your plan to Standard to unblock your workspace and allow you to perform the necessary maintenance operations to get your workspace below 1GB. There is a 30 day free trial period before you are billed and this can be cancelled at any time during this 30 day period if you decide to stay on the Free plan:

It would be helpful if 'storage' was labelled as 'LFS storage' for the sakes of clarity.

So, if I was to move onto the standard plan, how much workspace storage would this give me? I don't believe that limit is listed anywhere, or at least I'm finding it hard to see that information.

There are no formal limits on workspace storage for paid plans at this stage. The maximum size per repository is 4GB and you are able to have an unlimited number of repositories in your workspace.
