I recently received an invitation to the repositories of the organization to which it belongs, this invitation is associated in my institutional email account, and it has the necessary permission to perform push - pull and clone.

However, when executing any of these statements in the repository, it tells me that "remote: You'll need to authenticate with a valid app password. You can create an app password from your account at https://bitbucket.org/ account / admin / app-passwords
fatal: unable to access 'https: // username@bitbucket.org/tbxnet/tbx-bf-detector.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403 ", when the rest of my colleagues do not have this problem ( have users under the same condition / permission).

I suspect you would like to authenticate with your IdP password, but unfortunately Git doesn't support Atlassian Access yet.

Currently we have a feature request for this as you can see in the link below:

BCLOUD-18680 - Git operations using Atlassian Access
 

Our development team will give a first-hand update on that ticket if there's any progress made so I would suggest keeping a watch and vote for it.

Do note however that there's no ETA on enhancement request, and all enhancements are implemented with this policy in mind: Implementation of New Features Policy

What I would like to suggest you is to create an App password and use the app password with the combination of your username.

Hello Norbert, thanks for your attention and prompt response, my question really lies in the fact of: Why should I create an application password to be able to access Bitbucket repositories, when colleagues with the same profile can access the same responses just with your bitbucket username and password, without having to have an application password defined?

Please excuse me for the late reply, I was on sick leave, that's why the late answer.

Based on my observation some of your colleagues have "pre-migration" passwords stored in their profile, that's why they can use those passwords, which means is that before your company has switched to IdP/SSO provider, they had a password associated to Bitbucket Cloud.

As your Bitbucket Cloud account got created after your company has switched to IdP/SSO, your account doesn't have any password associated to it.
