bitbucket pipelines are not always starting after a push

Oliver Joa June 16, 2025

Hi,

it happens relativly often that the pipeline is not starting after a commit+push. I then do another "dummy"-commit + push and then the pipeline starts. Its on different repositories, but not always.

What could be the problem?

I don't use self-hosted runners. Everything only in the cloud.

Hi @Oliver Joa

Welcome to the community.

Could you confirm if you're using Bitbucket Cloud Pipelines Cloud runners or you're using self-hosted runners?

Regards,
Mark C

Hi @Oliver Joa

Thanks for that.

May I know it is not entirely triggering a build or it triggers a build eventually (but it takes time)?

Could you also share your YAML configuration specifically for the "default" trigger? You can mask any sensitive information before sharing as well.

Regards,
Mark C
