hooks or automation without pipelines?

We have Bitbucket self-hosted internally. There is no pipelines icon in my interface, and even if there were, we don't use containers.

I looked at the Bitbucket hooks documentation and it looks like you have to write an entire plugin, and the documentation is not stellar there.

Is there a simple way to trigger a shell script post-merge in Bitbucket? I am not finding it.

Hi, yes. There is a solution to your problem.

External Hooks Add-on allows users to configure pre-receive hook, post-receive hook and merge check hook on any given repository.
