Hi Folks... I am having an issue accessing the Bitbucket site.

I'm on a Mac using Firefox/Safari. Am I missing something here?

An error occurred during a connection to bitbucket.org. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Daniel with Atlassian Support here. I've done some quick checking to see if we made any certificate changes around the day you posted your question, and there don't seem to be any known server-side problems on the day you posted.

That being said, let's verify some things to see if we can figure out what's going on!

1. What version of MacOS are you running? Bitbucket only supports encryption using TLS 1.2 and above now, meaning you need to be on at least MacOS 10.9 (Mavericks) or above. Older versions of MacOS won't be able to connect to Bitbucket.
2. Have you previously been able to access Bitbucket on this computer?
3. Is it possible there's a network appliance such as a content filter or speed accelerator that's trying to intercept your computer's network traffic? A good test for this is by trying on another network like a smartphone hotspot or public wifi.
4. Can you try loading Digicert's test website here which is signed by the same certificate authority as Bitbucket's website? You should see a page like this:
   

The error you received is about your computer not being able to trust Bitbucket's Digicert certificate (with TLS 1.2 encryption) - the steps I described will help us figure out what on your computer or network isn't agreeing with the website encryption. Let me know how it goes!
