license for XP

Hi,

I have installed Stash on an old Windows XP computer (32 Bit).

Currently, I have the Free evaluation license. I'm planning to purchase a 1 year license because we only have 2 developers.

If I purchase the license today, then install Stash on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit computer in 6 months, can I use the same license or would I need to purchase a new license (Is the license somehow tied to a piece of hardware like the hard drive, or NIC card, etc..)?

No need to purchase a new license when you switch machines. The easiest way to migrate from one machine / platform to another is to take a backup using the backup client and then restore the backup on a different machine. That way, the server-id, the license and your full history will be retained.
