ssh connections from piplines to private cloud

Hi, we are new to bitbucket cloud and are using it for our bitbucket + terraform +dockerhub pipline. This has worked great in our POC but i've realized that when we move into production and our AWS network will turn into a private cloud scenario. 

So the pipline will spin up a container, the container will connect to AWS to provision serverless and EC2 instances but, how can we get the container to SSH into the EC2 instances to execute a bootstrap script once its spun up? 

in the private network port 22 ssh ingress will be turned off?
