i just migrated, because of imminent hardware failure, all our Atlassian collaboration tools to new hosts. Jira (7.0) is the authentication servers for all apps, and all data in is an oracle database, which was also migrated to a new server. We maintained versions for all Oracle and Atlassian products so that should be the issue.

I'm having a problem with Stash (v 3.6.0) - its not clear to me how Stash integrates with git - when i try to browse Stash on the new server, i can see the trunk i created, and the 3 repositories under the trunk, but when i click on any i get the message "you have empty repositories" with a list of git commands to run. Does anyone have an idea how to proceed?obviously the people who created this system are long gone

Hi Yoram, welcome to the Community!

I understand that you've migrated your repositories from another system to Stash. Stash 3.6.0 is quite an old product and It has since been rebranded and updated, the newest version being 6.5.1. Is there any reason why you chose to stay with the old one?

It's also important to mention that we no longer support that version as per Atlassian support End Of Life policy, and that several improvements and fixes have been added over the years, so we greatly encourage you to move to a recent one.

In relation to your message, I'm not sure I understand the problem you're describing, could you add some screenshots to give us some more context. Also, some information about your environment will help us understand the situation better:

  1. Were your repositories using Git before?
  2. What steps did you take for this migration?
  3. Can you give us some details about your server, OS, database versions, etc?

Let us know!

Ana
