I recently installed Git and found the following Bug. Users are incorrectly given the following error message

Even though the user has entered the credentials correctly, GIT incorrectly presents an error message stating the credentials are incorrect. It appears the problem is caused by a hard coded error message which is interfering with the authentication processs.
