Hi Stephen,

I am already aware of this step. Since my bitbucket account is behind a proxy and my git hub account is not. I think that is creating a problem here. So cant we import a repo to bitbucket repo that is behind a proxy

Hello Ramani,

Thank you for sending over the output log from the attempted import. From this log I’m able to see the following error: unable to access 'https://RamanichandranR@github.com/RamanichandranR/maven-quick-start.git/': Failed connect to github.com:443

This error is pointing to an issue accessing the URL you provided. Could you please confirm the account you’re using does have access to this repo and you’re able to authenticate without issue?

Regards,
Stephen Sifers

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for taking this up. No the bitbucket account does not have access to my github repo. Can you please let me know how to authenticate

Hello Ramani,

When you connecting your GitHub instance to Bitbucket to be migrated you should then be authenticated as your GitHub account to access your Repos. There is a guide to walk you through this process and this may be found at Import a repository from GitHub or GitLab.

I hope this information proves helpful and you're able to get your repos imported.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
