where did all my snippets go?

peakms October 15, 2025

I'm an infrequent user of bitbucket since 2016. Today I logged in and all my snippets (nearly 10 years worth) have gone. Just wondering if they are now called something else or located elsewhere? I appreciate any advice. D

Hey @peakms

Welcome to the community!

The recent update to the Free plan has disabled access to wikis and Snippets, which are now only available in the Standard or Premium plan. You can view them after upgrading to either the Standard or Premium plan.

I hope this clarifies the change.

Hmmm. Not sure that's completely ethical.

Can you zip them up and email them to me please.

Thanks

Hey @peakms

Thank you for your message and feedback.

We’ve communicated these changes several times and extended the timeline to allow free users additional time to back up or download their snippets and wiki content. Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide direct assistance in retrieving this data.

However, you can take advantage of Bitbucket’s 30-day trial, which should give you ample time to access and download your data.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Syahrul
