Thanks for the helpful reminder to refresh myself on the guidelines. To prevent necroposting you could automatically lock threads which have been inactive for over six months and add an info box telling community members to post a new thread with a link to the old  thread for context.

I'll just leave this for posterity since it's not useful when people just don't necropost (I couldn't find the old image I used to use on forums back in the day so I picked a random one just for chuckles). :)
